With the Provincial Election coming up on February 27th, myFM is helping you learn more about the candidate in our area. The week we are featuring candidates from down the road in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
He has been the Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP for less than a year, but he will be vying to keep that roll at the election. We were introduced to Steve Pinsonneault for the very first time early in 2024 as the once Chatham-Kent City Councilor was the nominee to win the see left vacant by Monte McNaughton. Pinsonneault says since the 2024 by-election in May, he has been doing what he can to serve his constituents.
He went to and attended more than 160 events since his election win. In May of 2024, he won just under 57% of the vote and since not a lot of the voters knew him, myFM asked if he thinks it will be different this time around that he will win some votes on the person rather than the party.
He does have goals and focus items as part of his platform.
The PC candidate was asked, why an election now, when many taxpayers are saying this is a waste of money when the Premier should already know his mandate.
He added the relationship with the United States is critical and he believes Premier Ford is the person that’s needed to get it done.
Stay tuned as we feature more LKM candidates this week and join myFM as we feature Huron-Bruce Candidates next week!
