February 11th (2/11) is 211 Day, a time to remind people about the free, 24/7 service that connects them to local programs and support in over 150 languages.
The 211 helpline provides assistance for many issues, including mental health, food access, and emergency financial help through United Way Perth-Huron’s Urgent Needs Fund. Last year, Perth-Huron residents made over 1,400 calls to 211 Ontario, and the website had more than 7,000 visits from people looking for local services.
211 Ontario is a free and anonymous service that connects people to social programs based on their postal code. Navigators are available every day, at any time, to help find the right support. To learn more, visit 211ontario.ca or dial 2-1-1.
