Advance polls for Ontario’s election open today, a week before general voting day, with only the Green Party having released a full platform. Meanwhile, Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford has been largely absent from the campaign trail. Ford has not taken questions or made public appearances during the campaign, aside from two debates over nine days.
The only time he answered questions recently was during a trip to Washington, D.C., last week, where he was attending meetings as premier alongside other provincial and territorial leaders. In the midst of the snap $189-million election he called, Ford’s last public announcement in Ontario was on February 10th.
